Gary Player: one year playing at The Masters

Memories are the cushions of life. To think I have spent over 1 year of my life playing in The Masters. Amazing. Love to all.

Gary is one of the greatest players in the history of golf, he has won tournaments in 27 consecutive years, and 163 tournaments total worldwide including The Masters in 1961, 1974 and 1978 and the British Open in 1959, 1968 and 1974. At the age of 29, he won the 1965 U.S. Open and became the only non-American to win the Grand Slam.

Gary holds the record for most times playing in The Masters with 52 appearances and he was the only golfer of the 20th Century to win a British Open title in three different decades.

He was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in 1974 and was the recipent of South African Sportsman of the Century award.

Gary has designed over 300 golf courses worldwide.
